SAP S/4HANA’s Public Cloud has been heralded as the fastest, easiest, and most cost-efficient way to get SAP S/4HANA launched and running. Although, there are some cases in which the Public Cloud is not the optimal solution; such as when processes are designed for a unique competitive edge, when legal reasons bar Public Cloud deployment, or if unique software requirements are in place. In these cases, the private edition of the cloud can meet your enterprise’s needs. The private cloud will give you the vertical industry functionality not yet available in the public cloud. Additionally, on-premise functionality works identically to the private cloud edition, only it is run as a managed service inside a company’s own firewall, or through a partner-hosted cloud.
